A deep-fryer allows you to make a variety of dishes from various cuisines, ranging from Asian and Mexican to American.
Some of the dishes that you can make using this appliance are French fries, onion rings, fried chicken, battered fish, fruit fritters, fried cookies, donuts, potato chips, corn fritters, fried cheese, fried vegetables, Indian pakoras, samosas, corn dogs, spring rolls, chicken nuggets, and churros.
Here are some of the ways you can use a deep-fryer.
1. French Fries
Deep fryers are seen in most fast-food restaurants, where they are used to make French fries. You can also make French fries at home with a deep fryer.
The taste and quality would depend on the type of potatoes you use.
Russet potatoes are widely used to make French fries. Cut these potatoes into fingers and place them in a bowl of cold water for a few minutes.

The batter for the fritters usually consists of flour, milk, egg, and baking soda. You can also add vanilla or cinnamon for added flavor.
After coating cut fruits like apples or bananas in the batter, deep fry them for two minutes till they are crisp and golden.

Making donuts takes some time since the dough requires several hours to rise. Once the dough has risen well, you can drop it into the deep fryer and cook it till it’s golden.
After patting the excess oil, dust it with the confectioner’s sugar. Alternatively, you can also use maple or chocolate glaze as the topping.
8. Potato Chips
Homemade potato chips are a delicious and healthier alternative to store-bought chips. Simply slice potatoes into thin strips, coat them in oil, and fry them until golden brown.
9. Corn Fritters
Crush corn kernels in a large bowl and add egg, salt, milk, salt, and pepper to make fritters. Stir till the ingredients just combine.
