A Long History, Not a Performance Guarantee
Bosch introduced its first dishwasher in 1964, not 1991. BSH’s history describes the SA12 launch. That history does not establish that every current model outperforms every competing dishwasher.
1. Appearance and Installation Fit
Compare the finish and handle style you want, but check the installation drawing as well. A dishwasher that looks compact may still need specific cabinet dimensions and clearances. Do not buy on appearance alone.

Compare the listed dBA figure for the exact models you are considering. It is more useful than a broad brand-wide range, and installation can affect the sounds you hear in the room.

Check whether the model includes a third rack and whether its shape suits your utensils. Bosch describes different third-rack designs. Do not turn a feature comparison into a claim that every Bosch dishwasher holds 30% more than other brands.
